Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are having a very good season and are in the running for two major trophies.
Arsenal are aiming to beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season and will take on Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners have a good squad, but, like all teams, they will need to strengthen in the summer transfer window even if they win the Premier League and/or the UEFA Champions League.
Former Arsenal prospect Jay Bothroyd has suggested a player who could make the Gunners better.
Bothroyd, who played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers among other clubs, has said that he would love to see Arsenal sign Atletico Madrid-owned Joao Felix in the summer transfer window.

The pundit thinks that the 24-year-old Portugal international forward played well during his loan spell at Chelsea from Atletico during the second half of last season.
Felix, who cost Atletico £113 million in transfer fees (Sky Sports), is now on loan at Barcelona. The former Benfica star has scored nine goals and given five assists in 34 matches in all competitions.
Pundit says why Joao Felix would be perfect for Arsenal
Bothroyd said about Felix on The Optus Sport Football Podcast: “I don’t know why he gets a lot of stick. I’ll be honest with you, when he came to England and was playing, I really liked him as a player.
“The bits that I saw, he’s really intelligent, he plays in that number 10 role like Griezmann I would say. Not as good as Griezmann, but you can see that he’s still young and he’s got lots of ability.
“He has got speed, he can shoot, he can score from anywhere. I think he’s the kind of player that’s going to get better as he gets older
“I’d love to have him at Arsenal, coming off that left. Because he’s got that intelligence, he can see a pass, he can shoot, he can go both ways. I’d love to see him at Arsenal.”
My View: No need for Joao Felix at Arsenal
In my opinion, Arsenal do not need to sign Joao Felix in the summer transfer window. I do not think that the Portugal international would add much to the Gunners’ attack.
Felix may be a very versatile forward, but he is not a natural striker. He is not the number 9 that Arsenal need to sign in the summer transfer window to take themselves to the next level.
Arsenal have enough attacking players. Kai Havertz is now starting to gel, so I do not see how Felix would get into the starting lineup.
