Euro 2024 is taking centre stage at the moment, but it isn’t stopping the latest transfer rumours from doing the rounds.
Tottenham Hotspur fans are rightfully expectant this summer because this is where they will want to make a return to the Champions League.
Harry Kane is out of the door. That cloud won’t bother them this season. This is Ange Postecoglou’s second season. And they are back in Europe after missing out altogether previously.
You expect Daniel Levy to now shine, but that’s where the problem lies because it might not happen the way Tottenham fans want.
It might be the case of players having to leave for other deals to commence and you wonder if that’s the case with midfielder, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The hard-hitting midfielder is currently starring at Euro 2024 with Denmark and he produced a Man of the Match display against England recently.
Darren Ambrose feels he ‘gets a lot of stick’ for his performances at Spurs and thinks Conor Gallagher isn’t a better player, as he told talkSPORT.
The Chelsea man is wanted by Tottenham, HITC has previously revealed that the London club want to bring Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah to Hotspur Way.
You feel, for that to happen, then a player like Hojbjerg, whose current deal expires in 2025, needs to leave and there were suggestions towards the end of last season that he isn’t happy.
Conor Gallagher isn’t better than Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
“Is he much better than Hojbjerg,” questioned Ambrose about Gallagher. “I don’t think so. I agree (Hojbjerg was phenomenal for Denmark v England).
“He gets a lot of stick and he has got a lot of stick at Spurs. I think he’s a good player and he performs when he needs to. He’s passionate as well. We have seen some of the celebrations when he clears one off the line. He loves it.
“They (Denmark) play him a little further forward. I think that could suit him quite well.”

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is underrated
A player brought in when Jose Mourinho was in charge, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the 27-year-old has a bit of character about him.
He has mainly been used in more defensive roles, but has thrived further forward for his country.

That’s where Tottenham have missed a trick because, a bit like Granit Xhaka when he was at Arsenal, he needs cover behind him and the freedom to roam forward.
That would then allow Hojbjerg to showcase his attacking quality and bring more to the table at Hotspur Way, so he either signs a new deal in these coming months or leaves.
