Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United fans hope their team can vastly improve their squads this summer.
After guiding the team back to Europe in his debut campaign, Ange Postecoglou is now in his second season in charge of the club.
On the other hand, Julen Lopetegui has tasted Premier League management before with Wolves, but he has been the man picked to replace David Moyes at West Ham United.
Both clubs probably have one thing in common and that’s the people in the boardroom – Daniel Levy and David Sullivan – aren’t exactly known to be ambitious in the transfer market or known to push the boat out.
That’s probably what frustrates their fanbases as another interesting transfer window awaits.
Sources have told HITC that West Ham are keen on signing Max Kilman from Wolves after he worked under Lopetegui.
When Darren Ambrose heard of West Ham’s interest in Kilman, he stated that he would like to see the 27-year-old at Tottenham.
The former Premier League midfielder labelled Kilman as a ‘great defender’ and someone who is reliable, in terms of the number of games he plays.
Ambrose stated that the ball-playing defender has only missed one Premier League game in two seasons and if he moved to Spurs, then you could get ‘five years’ of quality out of him, as he told talkSPORT.
Max Kilman at Tottenham Hotspur
“I really like Max Kilman,” said Ambrose. “I really do. I think he is a great defender, first and foremost. I think he is technically good as well. It doesn’t surprise me clubs are going to be asking for him.
“What was the price? £45 million. It’s crazy to say that you are just brandishing around figures like £45 million and saying ‘actually, that’s not bad’. But that’s the way football is, at the moment.
“I would take him at Spurs. I would take him at £45 million. Levy would probably offer him £2 million and a bag of crisps or something. Is that how old he is? (27). I thought he was younger than that. Look he is a good player. At 27, you are probably getting a good four or five years out of him. He is almost ever-present. In the last two seasons, he has missed one Premier League game, so he stays fit.”

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United need to improve their defence
Both teams struggled defensively during the recent campaign, even though the football they played was the complete opposite.
Spurs played a pretty expansive game under Postecoglou and Moyes was more defensive – a reason why he left the London Stadium.

Added quality is now needed, Tottenham are happy with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as starters, with Euro 2024 star Radu Dragusin as a back-up.
But depth is needed, whilst West Ham probably need wholesale changes at the back, but a lot will depend on if players depart.
