Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham have the best starting line-up in the Premier League – even better than Chelsea’s.

Pundit and former manager Harry Redknapp has told the Daily Star that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur have a better starting line-up than London rivals Chelsea.

Gameweek 25 begins this afternoon when Arsenal take on Hull City at the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners one of a number of teams hoping to close the gap to league leaders Chelsea.

The Blues are in action on Sunday when they travel to take on Burnley at Turf Moor, whilst second-placed Tottenham Hotspur face a tough game this evening as they travel to take on fifth-placed Liverpool at Anfield.

Chelsea currently sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and have lost just once since a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on the 24th of September – and that loss came against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

If any team are going to run Chelsea close – which looks unlikely right now, given that Antonio Conte are barely dropping points – then it looks to be Tottenham, who are nine games undefeated right now.

With seven wins in that run, Tottenham have been superb of late, even with injury blows to the likes of Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen, who will again miss out when Spurs take to the field against Liverpool this evening.

Ben Davies and Eric Dier have stepped into defence admirably, but if Mauricio Pochettino had every player fit and ready to play, they would possibly be on the bench, such is the strength of Tottenham’s starting XI.

Now, former Spurs boss and current pundit Harry Redknapp has told the Daily Star that he thinks Tottenham’s starting line-up, with everybody fit, is in fact better than Chelsea’s, and is the best in the Premier League.

With a top goalkeeper in Hugo Lloris, strong defensive options in Dier, Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Rose, powerful midfielders in Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama as well as quality attackers such as Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, it’s hard to argue with Redknapp’s claim – even if Chelsea do have the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Cesar Azpilicueta, N’Golo Kante, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

Redknapp did though suggest that Chelsea will still win the league, and predicted that Spurs won’t claim all three points against Liverpool tonight, which would only tighten Chelsea’s grip on the title.

“This is a better Tottenham team than the one I had,” said Redknapp. “When they’ve got their best XI out I think it’s the best team in the Premier League. I’d put them above Chelsea, when they’ve got their best XI. I wouldn’t swap their starting XI for Chelsea’s.”

“If I put them both down I’d weigh it heavy in Tottenham’s favour, but I backed Chelsea at the start of the year and I don’t think they (Spurs) will win this weekend,” he added.
