Tam McManus has said on Twitter that Neil Lennon’s Celtic have handed the title to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
The former Hibernian forward, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, made the comments after Rangers won and Celtic drew in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
While Rangers beat Ross County 4-0 away from home on Sunday, bitter Old Firm rivals and defending Scottish champions Celtic played out a 1-1 draw with St. Johnstone at Celtic Park.
The Gers are at the top of the league table at the moment with 44 points from 16 matches, while the Hoops are second in the standings with 31 points from 14 games.
McManus believes that since he first called for Celtic to make a managerial change, the Hoops have handed the league title to Rangers by dropping more points.
Rangers are Scottish Premiership title favourites now
Celtic do have a strong team, but Rangers have to be considered as favourites for the Scottish Premiership title now.
While the Bhoys are struggling to win matches on a regular basis, the Gers are showing remarkable consistency and are picking up points with ease.
