Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Celtic’s failure to win against St Johnstone at Celtic Park this afternoon, as they fell further behind Rangers in the table.

Celtic have played out a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Chris Kane put the visiting team in the lead after 79 minutes, and four minutes later, Mohamed Elyounoussi restored parity for Neil Lennon’s side.

The result means that Celtic have now picked up 31 points from 14 matches, while leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers are at the top of the league table with 44 points from 16 games.

Steven Gerrard’s side were in action earlier today, as they got the better of Ross County 4-0 away from home in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic have won the league title in Scotland for the past nine seasons, but it seems that Rangers could stop them from making it 10 in a row this campaign.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has given his take on the result for Celtic this afternoon on Twitter, as shown below.
