Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers this afternoon and has also praised Jermain Defoe.
Rangers have maintained their good run of form with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United striker Defoe was among the goalscorers.
The 38-year-old found the back of the net in the 90 minute to make it 4-0 to Gerrard’s team.
As reported by BBC Sport, the match was Defoe’s 800th senior appearance – 743 clubs games and 57 matches for England.
Former Rangers star Roberts was following the match, and he is delighted with the final result and has praised Defoe for his 800th appearance.
Title challenge
The win against County means that Rangers continue their march towards the Scottish Premiership title.
The Gers are at the top of the league table at the moment with 44 points from 16 matches, as many as 14 points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have played 13 games.
The pressure is clearly now on defending champions Celtic to close the gap on Rangers.
