The Friends reunion may be making headlines around the world this week, but the only ‘will they, won’t they?’ story Leeds United fans care about is their lengthy pursuit of Rodrigo De Paul.
The Argentine midfielder has been linked to Leeds for almost a year at this point, and the speculation just won’t die down.
Victor Orta appeared on The Phil Hay Show this week, and inevitably, he was asked about the idea of signing De Paul, and while he admitted it would be difficult, he didn’t completely rule out the possibility.
As you can imagine, these comments sent the Leeds fanbase into a bit of a frenzy.
Some supporters were once again getting their hopes up of the Udinese star arriving at Elland Road, while others were keen to play down the rumours.
So, will De Paul be coming to Leeds? Unfortunately, we can’t see it.
While Orta was happy to play along with the rumours, Angus Kinnear said earlier this month that it’s not something the club are looking to do, so it doesn’t look to be an impending deal.
