Leeds United Chief Executive Angus Kinnear has said on The Phil Hay Show on The Athletic that the club are not going to sign Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese in the summer transfer window.
Il Milanista reported this week that Leeds and Liverpool are leading the race for the Udinese attacking midfielder, as covered by HITC Sport.
The Sun reported in January 2021 that Leeds are looking at making a move for the £40 million-rated attacking midfielder in the summer of 2021.
The report in the British tabloid added that West Yorkshire outfit wanted to sign the Argentina international last summer as well.
Kinnear said on The Phil Hay Show on The Athletic when asked about signing De Paul from Udinese: “If we had the money, I think we would just buy him, just to shut you guys up. I don’t think that one has any legs.”

That should be it then regarding De Paul to Leeds rumours.
Surely.
If Leeds wanted to sign De Paul in the summer transfer window, then Kinnear would have been diplomatic.
The Englishman bluntly saying that Leeds do not have the money to sign the 26-year-old – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – shows that the Premier League club are not going to make a move for the Argentine, who has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 34 Serie A games for Udinese this season.
