‘Get in’: Liverpool fans excited as early team news drops before Porto clash tonight

Liverpool fans are excited to see Tyler Morton make his Champions League debut later this evening.

European debut incoming

The Daily Mail say that Morton will be picked by Jurgen Klopp to start against Porto later this evening.

If he does feature it will be the youngster’s first appearance in European competition.

It will also be fine reward for the promise that Morton has shown at Liverpool this term.

The 19-year-old midfielder has looked impressive in both his starts for Liverpool in the League Cup, and also came on as a substitute in for the Reds in their 4-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.

There is now genuine hope that he could be the next academy graduate to make the step up to Klopp’s first-team.

And Liverpool fans certainly seem to be excited by the prospect of seeing Morton from the start this evening.

Big night for Morton

If Morton is given the nod to feature by Klopp then it will undoubtedly be the biggest game of his career to date.

That being said, for Liverpool – it will be a good chance to experiment.

The Reds have already secured top spot in their group and their qualification to the knockout stages in the Champions League.

Klopp, therefore, is widely anticipated to make wholesale changes to his line-up tonight.

While some senior Liverpool players are almost certain to feature, Morton may not be the only youngster given a chance as the night progresses.

And Klopp will be hoping that his side come through unscathed, ahead of their Premier League match with Southampton at the weekend.
