Gabriel Agbonlahor predicted on talkSPORT (9:40pm, November 19, 2020) that Leeds United will win against Arsenal this weekend.
The former Aston Villa striker believes that with defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips and attacking player Rodrigo back in contention for the Premier League match at Elland Road, Marcelo Bielsa’s side will get the better of the Arsenal on Sunday evening.
Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (9:40pm, November 19, 2020): “I see a comfortable Leeds win. I feel that Phillips is going to be back, I am hearing, and Rodrigo.
“I feel they are important players for Leeds. Leeds have had bad results in the last couple of games, and I think they are ready now to bounce back.
“Bielsa would have been studying Arsenal all through the international break. Arsenal have had a lot of players out on international duty, coming back from long journeys. I think this game is a Leeds win for me.”
Surprise prediction?
Playing at home will give Leeds an advantage, and the West Yorkshire club will also be determined to return to winning ways after losing their last two Premier League games 4-1 to Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
Agbonlahor’s prediction that Leeds will win against Arsenal may come as a surprise to some fans of the West Yorkshire club.
The former England international striker told talkSPORT last month that he was not convinced by Bielsa and claimed earlier this month that the Whites look exhausted already.
The pundit’s prediction that Leeds will beat an Arsenal side that has some brilliant players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kieran Tierney may come as a surprise to the Elland Road faithful given his previous comments on them.
