Jude Bellingham to Liverpool is beginning to gather some pace.
Earlier in June, Cadena SER reported that Liverpool had offered around £87 million to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder this summer, with a view toward actually getting him next summer.
And then The Mirror claimed that the 18-year-old, being a boyhood fan of the Anfield outfit, would certainly consider a transfer to the Merseyside.
Goal reiterated that claim by revealing that the England international would be ‘more than interested‘ in joining Jurgen Klopp’s outfit.
On Monday, Bellingham responded to an Instagram post by Jordan Henderson, labelling him a ‘legend’.
And former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique has encouraged the player to come to Anfield.
Here’s how Enrique reacted to seeing Bellingham’s response to Henderson:
The reason why Jude Bellingham to Liverpool is growing legs is because, well, it makes sense.
Nothing will happen this summer because remember, Dortmund have lost Erling Haaland and losing both of their star players in one summer would be crazy.
However, next year, when Henderson is 33 and Klopp is needing a long-term replacement, that’s when it’ll really make sense.
Remember, Bellingham will only be 19 this time next year.
This is a frightening talent and one who the biggest clubs in world football will be trying to sign.
The fact he’s a Liverpool supporter might just tip things in the Reds’ favour.
