Adnan Januzaj is set to leave Real Sociedad at the end of this month, and if the rumours are true, the former Manchester United wonderkid could be set for a stunning return to the Premier League after becoming a free agent.
According to reports, Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma and West Ham are interested in signing the Belgian international, with FC Barcelona also in the chase to sign the 27-year-old free agent this summer.
The winger was once regarded as the saviour of United, and though Januzaj has had a solid career since leaving Manchester, it’s still pretty incredible that the attacker never reached the potential many expected the talented forward to one day hit.
With Januzaj now unattached to a club after leaving Sociedad, who could the Belgian sign for this summer, and which teams actually have the best case for landing the former Sunderland and Borussia Dortmund loanee.
AS Roma

As mentioned, Roma are one of the sides interested in signing Januzaj, with Mourinho keen to improve the Italian club’s squad following a successful season where the Serie A team won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League.
Under Mourinho, Roma are suddenly one of the most exciting clubs in Europe, and with Henrikh Mkhitaryan set to leave for Inter Milan, Januzaj could be a smart replacement for the 33-year-old winger, with the former Sociedad star a younger and more exciting option.
Everton

It seems strange that Januzaj hasn’t ended up at Everton yet given the number of failed Manchester United talents the Merseyside club have signed over the years, and under Frank Lampard, the English manager should consider making a move for the winger.
Everton are in desperate need of some attacking and creative quality, and given Januzaj’s experience in Spain with Sociedad and his role for the Belgian national team, the former United wonderkid could actually be a sensible signing for Lampard’s side.
FC Barcelona

You weren’t daydreaming earlier when it was mentioned that Barcelona are also interested in Januzaj, and given the forward’s record for Sociedad, it somewhat makes sense why Xavi Hernandez might be interested in signing for the 27-year-old.
Very few players in the free-agent market have the experience Januzaj can offer, and given that the forward was on a surprisingly low wage at Sociedad at £76,000-a-week, Barcelona could sign the attacker on a deal that could be low-risk high-reward for the Catalans.
Leeds United

After surviving relegation on the last day of the season, Leeds United are set for a massive summer where manager Jesse Marsch has to get every transfer decision bang on, and signing Januzaj could be a smart move from the American coach.
Indeed, the winger is an experienced attacker who has played in the top flights in three of the biggest nations in Europe, and with Raphinha set to leave Leeds, Januzaj could be an option to replace the Brazilian attacker if the Whites are struggling for an alternative.
West Ham

With David Moyes the manager who gave Januzaj his big break at Manchester United, it makes a lot of sense why the Scotsman is reportedly interested in signing the former La Liga star, with the West Ham boss also signing the winger for Sunderland in 2016.
A lot has happened in the six years since that deal, with Januzaj developing into a decent player who can offer a lot to West Ham next season, especially with the Hammers desperate for any sort of attacking depth this summer.
