According to Sport, Barcelona have turned their attention to Adnan Januzaj, after Leeds and Raphinha secured Premier League survival on Sunday.
What’s the story?
Well, Barcelona are interested in the Leeds No.10, although his price tag depended on whether Jesse Marsch could secure survival or not.
Had Leeds been relegated, then Raphinha would’ve been available for just €25m (£21m) due to a release clause written into his contract.
Now, however, Sport believe he will be valued much higher than that, and with money tight at the Camp Nou, Barcelona are exploring other options.
One option for Xavi is Januzaj, who left Sunderland in 2017 after a season-long loan from Manchester United.
The Belgium international has since impressed for Real Sociedad, where he has amassed 168 appearances, scoring 23 goals while also providing 21 assists.
Crucially for Barcelona, Januzaj can be signed for free, with his contract set to expire next month – Sport believe the 27-year-old has rejected a new deal.
Did he reject a new contract in the knowledge that Barcelona are interested? Only time will tell.
Barcelona eyeing Adnan Januzaj is great for Leeds

At one point, it seemed as if Raphinha was destined to join Barcelona – some sources claimed the Brazil international wanted the move.
However, after Leeds booked their spot in the Premier League for next season, things are looking up.
According to Gianluigi Longari, Raphinha’s release clause is now £63m, which puts Leeds in a significantly better position than if they were relegated.

Barcelona have financial issues, so, while £63m seems quite reasonable given Raphinha’s talents, Xavi won’t be able to splash the cash on such a costly deal.
Of course, another club could steal the 25-year-old from Elland Road – Newcastle are believed to be interested.
However, Barcelona were the biggest threat out there, so it’s fantastic news for Leeds that Januzaj is now entering the equation instead.
