Away from the soccer scene, Erling Haaland is a gaming fanatic just like the rest of us.

Erling Haaland has taken the 2026 World Cup by storm, carrying Norway into their first-ever quarter-final.

The Manchester City striker is second in the Golden Boot race with seven goals, headlined by a late double that stunned five-time world champions Brazil in the Round of 16.

France’s team the last time they played Morocco… have they got better or worse? And why? 🇫🇷🇲🇦

Would you add any of them to their current XI?

Now, Haaland and the Norway team are preparing for a quarter-final clash with Thomas Tuchel and his England side in Miami.

However, the striker’s preparation doesn’t only involve eating the right foods and training.

Erling Haaland picks GTA and Minecraft as the two ultimate video games

Erling Haaland uses video games as his ultimate escape from the intense pressures of professional soccer.

Though he initially admitted to being too embarrassed to reveal his favorite titles to the public, the Norwegian unwinds by playing multiplayer games online to relax and stay connected with friends.

Speaking to Game Spot, Erling Haaland was asked about the one game he would take to a desert island.

In which he responded: “GTA or Minecraft.”

Building on from the GTA hype, Haaland also had a few words for the new GTA 6, which is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026.

“GTA, I can’t wait for the new one.”
