This is of course HITC Sevens, and in this chaotic world in which I now do XI’s and other such non-sevens based videos, sometimes it’s nice to restore some order and normality with a good old fashioned seven. Sometimes, on particularly enthralling occasions, we even manage to slip a second seven in there for good measure, such as my video on the 7 best teenagers 7 years ago and where are they now.

We just did a video on the best footballer at every height from 5’1” to 6’11”, yes, that’s right, 6’11” - so go and give that a watch if you haven’t already - but making that video gave me another idea. I have lost count of the amount of times I’ve heard of a club releasing a player or turning them down following an impressive trial because they’re quote, too small, too short or too weak.

As we come to the end of the 2018-19 season, there are several players who have had remarkable breakout seasons. Declan Rice, Joao Felix and Luka Jovic are just three examples of players who have performed above and beyond just about anyone’s wildest expectations. This, of course, is the case with a number of players every season, and some such players are labelled with the tag ‘one-season wonder’.
