Leicester City hold an interest in signing Joel Piroe this summer, but face competition from Premier League clubs for the forward’s services.
Daily Telegraph football reporter John Percy has previously stated on Twitter that Leicester City have a “strong interest” in Joel Piroe.
However, according to The Athletic, Leeds United are also in the hunt for Piroe’s signature. Meanwhile, Premier League outfits Everton and Nottingham Forest have made enquiries after the striker, as reported by Wales Online.
In any case, whoever is going to secure the Swansea man’s services, they likely need to act quickly and decisively to get the deal done. Enzo Maresca shouldn’t hesitate to push for such a deal on behalf of the Foxes, who are in need of a reliable goalscorer to fire them back into the top flight this season.

Should Leicester sign Piroe?
The 23-year-old has been in scintillating form for the Welsh club since his arrival in 2021. Across his two Championship campaigns so far, the Dutchman has bagged 41 goals. A proven Championship goalscorer, with plenty of years and scope for improvement left in him, is exactly what’s required at the King Power Stadium this summer. Piroe fits the bill perfectly.
Age has finally caught up with club legend Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka is yet to prove his ability to show consistency, and Kelechi Iheanacho’s finishing is unreliable and his future at the club is in doubt.
A lack of a prolific striker was a huge problem for Leicester last season as they suffered relegation. Piroe could solve that problem and be their talisman as they seek to get back into the big time.
