Charlton Athletic

Founded in 1905 and have played their home games at The Valley since 1919. They recently returned to the second tier of English football after a spell in third. They had a lengthy spell in the Premier League under Alan Curbishley from 2000-2007 after being relegated from the top flight in 1999 after one season. Their only major honour is the FA Cup which they won in 1947.

Not only do they bring even more drama to the end of a season, they also keep the season alive for teams even down into the bottom half sometimes who previously had nothing to play for from January onwards.
