Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville seemingly had an eye on Chelsea star Cole Palmer scoring for England on Monday.

Gareth Southgate handed the Chelsea playmaker his first start and he repaid his manager by opening the scoring during England’s 3-0 friendly win over Bosnia and Herzegovina at St James’ Park.

If Chelsea conduct their summer transfer business correctly, then Cole Palmer could be playing alongside Leeds United’s much-wanted winger next season.

Leeds’ play-off final defeat to Southampton last month will still be stinging for their fans, but it now means that they will have to lose some of their key players, which has been acknowledged by the club’s chairman.

The man on top of everyone’s list seems to be the Championship Player of the Season, Crysencio Summerville.

Sources told HITC in April that a host of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, are keen on securing the 22-year-old’s talents this summer.

He does feel like a Chelsea-esque signing given who they have been purchasing since the new American ownership replaced Roman Abramovich.

In the meantime, Summerville is taking to Instagram and reacting to Palmer producing a solid display for his country ahead of Euro 2024.

The Leeds speedster reacted in the comments section of Palmer’s IG message by simply posting a heart emoji and a fire emoji.

As you can imagine, Chelsea fans reacted in their droves as they are now urging the quick-footed Dutchman to join them next season.

Crysencio Summerville under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea

Chelsea finally announced the arrival of Enzo Maresca on Monday following the shock departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Italian has never managed in the Premier League after guiding Leicester City to the Championship title last season.

A player like Summerville actually suits the way Maresca likes to play because he loves his wingers to be direct and have pace.

Plus, the new Chelsea boss would have seen a lot of Summerville in the Championship this season, so if the powers that be hand him a player like the Leeds star, then he shouldn’t feel completely strange to it.
