Leeds United are preparing for a potential fire sale this summer, following the club’s failure to win promotion back to the Premier League.
Over the weekend, Leeds United suffered a 1-0 play-off final defeat to Southampton at Wembley Stadium and this means that immediate promotion back to England’s top flight will not be possible.
As a result of this, the Yorkshire club could well be forced to sell their key players this summer in order to recuperate some big money in preparation for an important transfer window, as well as their compliance with Financial Fair Play and P&S (Profit & Sustainability Rules).
HITC have reported that midfielder Archie Gray is being targeted by Bayern Munich and the German giants believe a move is certainly possible this summer.

Leeds United chairman on summer sale
Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe has spoken out about the prospect of selling key first-team players this summer and refused to rule out the prospect of key players departing Elland Road.
“We have the funds we need to do what we need, but there will need to be some trade-offs because of [profit and sustainability rules],” Marathe told BBC Sport.
“It is not just outs, it is ins as well, looking at scouting possibilities, but we need to make trade-offs. I can’t talk about specific players right now, it is too early.
“There are certain things we need to do and we will make sure we are fully compliant with P and S [profit and sustainability] as we always have been. We’ll have to get back to the drawing board and see what deals we need to do.”
Leeds could lose other star man
Gray has excelled this season for the Yorkshire side and has developed week on week and a move to the Bundesliga would not be a surprise.
The teenage midfielder is not the only player who could be on his way out with Crysencio Summerville, who scored 21 goals in all competitions, attracting interest from several top Premier League clubs.
HITC reported a month ago that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool were among a clan on eight top clubs who were keeping tabs on the outstanding winger.
The plan back then was for the Yorkshire club to hold talks with Summerville at the end of the season but with the club not achieving promotion, this could change things.
