Not many players have done well for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea this season, but former Blues winger and BBC Sport pundit Pat Nevin has named three who have been very good.

Pat Nevin has named the three best players for Chelsea this season. The former Blues winger made the comments in the build-up to the FA Cup tie between the London and Leicester City on Sunday.

Nevin has said that Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Malo Gusto have been the three best players for Chelsea this season.

Praise for Chelsea trio Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Malo Gusto

Palmer, who is 21 and can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored 11 goals and given eight assists in 19 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Blues. He has been very impressive.

Midfielder Gallagher, 24, has scored two goals and provided five assists in 26 league matches for Chelsea, while 20-year-old France international right-back has given five assists in 15 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Gusto, Palmer, Gallagher, those are the three best players Chelsea have had this season.”

My View: Malo Gusto is a Chelsea gem

In my opinion, Chelsea and France international right-back Malo Gusto is a gem of a footballer.

Gusto is only 20 now, but he plays with a lot of maturity and has done consistently well for Chelsea.

I think that the youngster is a star in the making and will play a big role for Chelsea in the coming years.

Gusto was one of the best players for Chelsea against Leicester City in the FA Cup on Sunday. The youngster provided an assist and was a constant problem for the Championship club.
