Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given a positive update on one of his defenders ahead of the Premier League match against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
It is going to be a cracking match. Liverpool are at the top of the league table at the moment with 63 points from 27 games. Defending champions City are second with 62 points from 27 games.
Arsenal are the other team in the Premier League title race this season. Mikel Arteta’s side are third with 61 points from 27 games.

Liverpool warmed up for the big game against City with a 5-1 hammering of Sparta Prague away from home in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday evening.
Joe Gomez started the match at right-back for the Reds. Klopp decided to take him off at half time.
Speaking after the game, Klopp said that Gomez is fit to play against City this weekend.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Joey is fine. We took him off, he played a lot of games so that was more rotation, precaution.”
My View: Liverpool cannot lose to Manchester City
In my opinion, Liverpool cannot afford to lose to Manchester City in the Premier League game between the two sides this weekend.
City are on a roll at the moment and will fancy their chances of winning the match. But, Liverpool are at home for the game and that could affect proceedings.
I believe that even a draw for Liverpool would be a good result for Klopp’s side. That will keep them ahead of City. At this stage of the season when there is nothing much between the teams, every single point matters.
