When Harry Kane left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich in the summer, many expected the club to collapse down the Premier League table.

Who would score the goals for Spurs? Who will create the chances? Harry Kane was the heartbeat of the team?!

But Ange Postecoglou, aided by the players, answered all those questions pretty quickly, as Tottenham are now six points behind leaders Liverpool at the halfway stage.

One player who has been key to Spurs’ form has been Dejan Kulusevski.

The 23-year-old was initially signed on a loan deal from Juventus when Antonio Conte was in charge, before it was made permanent for £25 million

Fast forward to the present, and despite Harry Kane’s £100 million move to Bayern Munich and his outrageous start, it’s Dejan Kulusevski who is valued more in the transfer market between the two.

CIES Football Observatory presents the 100 players across the world with the ‘highest estimated transfer value’.

To nobody’s surprise, Real Madrid and England’s rising star Jude Bellingham is top of the list. But further down, you will find Dejan Kulusevski ahead of a few big names, including his former teammate Harry Kane, Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku, Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.

Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane’s value

CIES’s value of Kulusevski is now 100.4 Euros, which is £86.6 million, with Kane coming in at 95 million Euros, which is £82.45 million.

Dejan Kulusevski is underrated

It needs to be noted that when Spurs first brought the Sweden international to the club, he wasn’t exactly having a great time in Turin, in fact, he was struggling.

But within months of being at Hotspur Way, he helped transform a then-struggling Spurs side, including helping them pip Arsenal to Champions League football.

There was a little blip in between, but once again, he is now back to his best, with five goals and two assists this season, as he is proving to be one of the more underrated players in the Premier League and for this all-entertaining Spurs side.
