Dutch expert Marcel van der Kraan has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Arne Slot is dying to manage in the Premier League.

Van Der Kraan made this claim on talkSPORT, while discussing the Feyenoord boss, who is reportedly Daniel Levy’s No.1 target, as per a report in May now that Xabi Alonso looks set to stay at Bayer Leverkusen.

As Tottenham Hotspur fans await to see which manager joins the club in the summer, the Dutch expert suggests Arne Slot would be up for the opportunity.

Dutch expert Marcel van der Kraan suggests Arne Slot would accept Tottenham job

In some ways, Ibrahim Affelay had a similar opinion regarding his fellow countryman’s future, as he could not foresee how he would turn down the chance to call the shots at a club like Spurs.

Branded as ‘[Pep] Guardiola-like’ by the i Newspaper, it is quite clear to see that he is a man in demand.

According to Dutch expert Marcel van der Kraan, the opportunity to become a Premier League manager would tempt Tottenham-linked Arne Slot once again, as it did when Leeds United came in for him.

“For Arne, the Premier League has always been a major attraction. He told me in February when Leeds United came for him, ‘look, I can do something there. I think I can keep them up. I think I can get them a different playing style’, and he wanted to go but Feyenoord refused to let him go.”

Tottenham should be trying to get Slot through the door at all costs

Going by what expert Marcel van der Kraan claimed, Arne Slot would likely be open to becoming the next Tottenham manager.

To avoid a situation such as in the summer of 2021 when Spurs eventually appointed Nuno Espirito Santo after a string of coaches turned them down, they must ensure a deal for the Dutchman is wrapped up.

And fast.

Giving Slot a full pre-season to embed his tactics and work with certain brand-new additions would give him and the club a chance to enjoy a successful season.

Whether Tottenham seize this potential opportunity or not is what is likely to keep their fanbase wide awake.
