Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will reportedly turn to Arne Slot if Xabi Alonso turns down the chance to manage Spurs.

The Mirror have reported that Tottenham chairman Levy has decided to hire Bayer Leverkusen boss Alonso as the Spurs manager.

The businessman is willing to pay a compensation fee for the Spaniard, who is now his number one managerial target, and is eager for him to attend the interview process.

However, according to the report, if the 41-year-old former Real Madrid and Liverpool midfielder does not accept the job, then Levy will turn to Feyenoord manager Slot.

The Mirror have reported that Tottenham will have to pay Feyenoord a compensation fee worth two years of the 44-year-old Dutchman’s deal.

Feyenoord are on the verge of winning the Eredivisie title this season.

Slot’s side have picked up 73 points from 30 matches, five more than PSV, who have played 31 games.

Exciting

Arne Slot is a relatively young manager who is only in his second club at senior management.

The 44-year-old was in charge of AZ before he took over at Feyenoord.

The Dutchman guided Feyenoord to the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League final last season, and now he is set to win the Eredivisie.

Slot is a very good manager who could make an immediate impact at Tottenham like Erik ten Hag has at Manchester United after coming from Ajax.
