Pundit Rene van der Gijp has suggested Arne Slot to turn down the chance to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
The 62-year-old’s claim was relayed by Feyenoord Pings, as he detailed why a move to Spurs would be an unwise career move for Slot.
Unlike pundit Rene van der Gijp, however, many believe that Arne Slot is not just likely to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager, but would likely be the right fit.
Pundit Rene van der Gijp says Arne Slot should avoid Tottenham job
Michel Vorm has said that the Dutchman, branded as the ‘best coach in the world’ by Alireza Jahanbaksh would be a ‘good fit’ for the role.
As for Ibrahim Affelay, he predicted the Eredivisie-winning coach to take the job in N17, as it was too big an opportunity to turn down.
However, pundit Rene van der Gijp has now claimed that it is best for Arne Slot to reject the Tottenham manager job.

“You’re going to make an awful lot of money, but it’s still a club where you don’t get the best players.”
“They have exceptional players with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, but if they leave, you don’t pick up a Kane anymore. They won’t go there. It is a coach’s graveyard over there.”
Arne Slot should be very careful before accepting Tottenham job
Hypothetically, if Arne Slot is looking to become the next Tottenham manager, pundit Rene van der Gijp is right in pinpointing the problems at the club.
While Spurs are a massive club, which remains an obvious draw, their recruitment coupled with their actual investment simply gives managers virtually no chance to succeed.
Slot, when in contact with the London-based side must take these factors into consideration before accepting the vacancy.
Ultimately, a failure on the 44-year-old’s CV so early into his career could tank his reputation.
