Michel Vorm has vouched for Arne Slot as the calibre of manager Tottenham Hotspur should appoint to replace Antonio Conte.

It was reported in May that in case Xabi Alonso rejected the Spurs job, Daniel Levy would turn to the Dutch coach as his No.1 target.

Considering the Bayer Leverkusen manager has decided to stay put, as per club CEO Simon Rolfes, perhaps Tottenham Hotspur may listen to Michel Vorm and appoint Arne Slot.

Leading Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title this season, as well as to the semi-final of the KNVB Cup and the Europa League quarter-final, Slot has rightly been lauded for the brilliant job he has done.

Branded as the ‘best coach in the world’ by Alireza Jahanbaksh, the 44-year-old, who has often been likened to Pep Guardiola is garnering praise for all the right reasons.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm believes Arne Slot is a cracking manager as well and has vouched for him to fare well, if given the job.

“I think he’s ready. He showed that, because I know the Dutch league well and what he’s done before, and I speak with a lot of players in Holland, and over the years at AZ and now at Feyenoord how positive they are about him and the style of play, how he communicates and treats all the players and they have done so well”, he told Football.London.

“If you see how they did last season and then now they’ve won the title. He’s done an amazing job and for me he would definitely be a good fit.”

Tottenham fans would likely agree with Michel Vorm as both in terms of his success and the style of play, Arne Slot has all the makings of a top manager.

With several other candidates out of the picture, it does make sense for Spurs to wrap up a deal to bring Slot in ahead of next season.
