West Ham United have joined Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the race for Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, according to a report.

West Ham want Chelsea and Tottenham manager target Vincent Kompany

TEAMtalk have reported that Chelsea and Tottenham are huge admirers of Kompany and want to hire the Burnley boss as their new manager at the end of the season.

The former Manchester City defender has already guided the Clarets to automatic promotion to the Premier League for next season.

According to TEAMtalk, Crystal Palace admire the Belgian, described as “very bright” by former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore in CaughtOffSide, and so do West Ham.

The Hammers will reportedly replace David Moyes at the end of the season and are looking at tempting Kompany to London Stadium.

HITC Verdict: Unlikely to happen

In our view, West Ham United are unlikely to be able to tempt Vincent Kompany to London Stadium when they are facing competition from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

After all, Chelsea and Tottenham are bigger and wealthier clubs who are also more ambitious than the Hammers.

There is also speculation that Kompany has already turned down Tottenham.

Former Spurs forward and talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil said on talkSPORT (6:24am, March 31, 2023) that he has been told that Kompany has rejected the chance to become the new Tottenham boss at the end of the season.

So, if the Belgian has rejected Tottenham, what chance have West Ham got?
