Dutch agent Guido Albers has said on talkSPORT (10:14am, February 10, 2023) that Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is unlikely to leave for Leeds United now.

Albers, who is reportedly friends with Slot but does not represent him (according to talkSPORT presenter Jim White), has questioned why Slot would leave Feyenoord for Leeds in the middle of the season.

The Dutchman has noted that his compatriot could win the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord this season.

The 44-year-old led Feyenoord to the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

De club aan de Maas finished third in the Eredivisie last season.

Feyenoord are at the top of the league table at the moment with 43 points from 20 matches, two points clear of second-placed AZ.

According to Voetbal International, Leeds are looking at potentially hiring Slot.

An agent on Arne Slot to Leeds United rumour

Albers said about Slot: “For me, it’s absolutely no surprise. He is really successful here in Holland with Feyenoord, he is dong a great job, but I think personally he wants to finish his job in Feyenoord because they are going for the title this season, last year they went to the Conference League final, so there’s a lot of things to do, but you never know in football.”

Could Leeds tempt Slot?

In our view, Leeds United could struggle to bring Arne Slot to Elland Road in the middle of the season.

Yes, we know that Leeds are a big club and can pay the 44-year-old Dutchman a lot of money in wages.

But, Feyenoord are going strong in the Eredivisie at the moment, and Slot will surely want to win the title this season.

And, let us not forget, Leeds are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
