Leeds United are said to have done their homework on Arne Slot as they consider an approach for the Feyenoord boss.

What’s the story?

Well, the likes of Andoni Iraola, Marcelo Gallardo, Ralph Hasenhuttl and Slot have been mentioned as potential replacements for Marsch, who was sacked following Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Fabrizio Romano believes Iraola is the favourite, although Voetbal International in the Netherlands claim that Leeds have done plenty of research on Slot as the 44-year-old catches their eye.

The Dutch tactician – who has won 82 of his 142 games in management – currently sits top of the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, two points clear of his old side AZ Alkmaar having lost just one league game this season.

Despite their abundance of research on Slot, Leeds are yet to have made contact with Feyenoord over a deal for their Head Coach – according to Voetbal International.

Regardless of that, the Dutch news outlet believe Feyenoord have no intention of allowing their main man to leave in the middle of the campaign, which makes sense seeing as they’re on track to win the Eredivisie.

Leeds United must make quick decision on Arne Slot

If Leeds are to make an approach for Slot and attempt to prise him away from Feyenoord, they need to make their minds up quickly.

Leeds have three Premier League games within the next ten days, and those nine points up for grabs could prove to be vital come the end of the season.

While we are not writing off the back-to-back clashes with Manchester United by any means, it is the trip to Everton on Saturday 18th February that will be the most significant for Leeds, as it is the definition of a six pointer at the bottom of the Premier League.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Leeds could make an approach for Slot soon after obtaining plenty of information about the Dutchman.
