The Mirror claim Sean Dyche has overtaken Marcelo Bielsa as the front runner to become the next Everton manager with Bielsa unsure over a move to Goodison Park – and Farhad Moshiri wants him in place by the end of Thursday.
Bielsa, 67, was the man Moshiri wanted to replace Frank Lampard after the club decided to sack Lampard earlier this week. It comes after a 2-0 loss to West Ham on the weekend. Everton have been left in 19th place in the League table.
However, the ex-Leeds and Argentina manager has reservations over a move to Everton. One of the main reasons is that Bielsa likes time, the need for a project and patience to instill his particular style. A style Carlo Ancelotti loves.
The report claims that Dyche has overtaken Bielsa in the running to take over at Goodison Park. Indeed, hesitancy from Bielsa has seen Dyche win pole. Everton owner Moshiri wants a manager in place by the close of play on Thursday.

Danny Murphy made a superb point. He feels that if Everton hire Bielsa, then the Toffees will be relegated. Bielsa’s way of playing is exciting, attacking, gets fans on side. In the position Everton are in, they need to shore up the defence.
Dyche can do that. For years at Burnley, he got the Turf Moor side playing above their weight on a minimal budget. The foundations of his success were on being defensively sound and playing on the counter. Murphy backed Dyche.
It is the right move. Everton need a manager like Dyche and while it might not be as exciting as Bielsa, it gives them a better chance of staying in the division. Everton must realise what they are now, a club fighting relegation this term.
