Tottenham target Rafael Leao has now revealed that he enjoys watching their north London rivals Arsenal.
It comes after Tutto Mercato Web revealed that Spurs want to sign the Portugal international from AC Milan in 2023.
However, the 23-year-old’s claim may put some Tottenham fans off.
What’s the story?
Well, Leao was speaking to RDP Africa when he revealed that he likes Arsenal, and has really enjoyed watching the Gunners play this season.
The AC Milan No.17 – who was signed from Lille back in 2019 for £32m – said: “Experience in new league? Yes, in the future, but now I’m 100% focused on AC Milan. It’s a top club and I’m under contract there. I like the city too.
“I watch many games. This year, I like Arsenal. They’re playing very well.”

After a period of misery watching the likes of Shkodran Mustafi struggle under Unai Emery, it must be music to the ears of Arsenal fans to hear one of Europe’s brightest prospects admit something like this.
Leao has emerged as one of the hottest forwards on the planet at AC Milan as he begins to fulfil his incredible potential.
So far this season, the Portuguese sensation has scored seven goals while also providing nine assists in 20 appearances for AC Milan.
Arsenal should rival Tottenham for Rafael Leao
In our view, Arsenal should be trying to sign Leao.
Mikel Arteta is clearly keen to add another forward to his attacking department amid very strong links to Shakhtar Donetsk No.10 Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the Evening Standard claiming that Edu is in talks with the Ukrainians.
If that deal happens to collapse for whatever reason, then Arsenal should turn their attention to Leao, who looks set to become one of the best around within the next few years.
In truth, Leao is already among the best performing forwards in Europe this season, and his potential in football is truly frightening given the level he’s already at.
