Tottenham and Leeds target Alex Scott is expected to make a move to the Premier League from Bristol City very soon.

What’s the story?

Well, it was the Mirror who revealed that Antonio Conte and Jesse Marsch are keen to sign the 19-year-old wonderkid, who has made a name for himself in the Championship.

Now, Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports has made an interesting claim about Scott.

When asked which surprise transfers he thinks might happen in the January window, the respected journalist told his Twitter followers to “keep a very close eye on” the Bristol City No.7’s situation.

Jacobs added that he expects Scott to join a Premier League side “sooner rather than later” – therefore, we could see him playing in the white of Tottenham or Leeds within a month.

So far this season, the teenager has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Bristol City, providing four assists while also showcasing his versatility by playing in a number of midfield areas, including the right and in the centre.

In regards to a comparison, Scott has actually been likened to Manchester City and England maestro Jack Grealish, who can also operate out wide or in the middle.

The Mirror also mentioned that Scott has a £10m price tag.

Alex Scott should choose Leeds over Tottenham

In our view, Scott would be better off at Leeds than Tottenham as he seemingly nears his first taste of the Premier League.

Competition for places is fierce under Conte right now, with Dejan Kulusevski even finding himself outside of the starting XI at times this season.

However, at Elland Road, Marsch has trusted a number of youngsters to deliver the goods, such as Sam Greenwood, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto.

The American seems far more likely to use Scott regularly in the Premier League than Conte is, so if we were the rising Bristol City wonderkid, we would head to Yorkshire rather than north London.
