Who is Ben Doak? We expect this to be a question on everyone’s lips very soon as the Liverpool wonderkid continues to shine under Jürgen Klopp.
In truth, many are probably already asking.
The 17-year-old has already made his first-team debut for Liverpool, and if he fulfils his vast potential, the Reds could have another superstar on their hands.
So, who is Ben Doak? Let’s take a look…
Who is Ben Doak?
Well, the teenager rose through the youth ranks at Celtic, having previously spent time at Dalry Rovers and Ayr United.
However, Doak only made two first-team appearances for Celtic before Liverpool snapped him up in a £600,000 deal back in March.

The Scottish giants attempted to negotiate a professional contract with the dynamic winger, but his head had been turned by Liverpool.
Since making the move to Anfield, Doak has been called a “force” by Klopp, while Sir Kenny Dalglish has even tipped the prodigy to have a “bright future” on Merseyside.
James Milner has also called him an “unbelievable” talent.
Interestingly, Jackie McNamara – Doak’s agent – has even compared his client to Wayne Rooney, which speaks volumes given how talented the Manchester United icon was at a similar age.
“He’s a Scottish Rooney. That’s what I said to Ange (Postecoglou) at Celtic, I told him I’ve never seen anything like Ben.”
As aforesaid, the Scotland Under-17 international has already been handed his Liverpool debut by Klopp, playing 16 minutes of the Carabao Cup win over Derby.
Doak was also named on the bench in Liverpool’s most recent Premier League outing, the 3-1 win over Southampton at Anfield.
