Kenny Dalglish has claimed that Ben Doak will have a ‘bright future’ after leaving Celtic for Liverpool, as he told The Sunday Post.
On Sunday, Liverpool snapped up another top talent from Scotland when they signed Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen – he joins his fellow countryman on Merseyside.
With the success Andy Robertson has had at Liverpool, if either of those players can match the Scotland captain, then they will go on to have a very, very good career.

What is Liverpool’s gain, is Celtic’s loss, with the Scottish Premiership champions trying in vain to keep Doak, only for him to be lured to Liverpool earlier this year.
Nonetheless, this is what Scotland legend Dalglish made of it all, as he thinks Robertson can help both Doak and Ramsay at Anfield.
“Ben Doak has also joined Liverpool from Celtic, and he is another Scottish teenager with a bright future,” said Dalglish. “We are never certain how players’ careers will work out.
“But one thing I do know is that they (Doak and Calvin Ramsay) will be given the best possible chance to succeed at Anfield.
“Moving away from home may prove to be a wee bit challenging, but all they need to do is speak up and ask for help. In Andy Robertson, they have a Scot who will make the lads feel very welcome, and do everything he can to help them settle.
“But I should also point out that every player and member of staff at Liverpool will make them feel at home, not just Andy.”

LIVERPOOL GREAT PLACE FOR DOAK AND RAMSAY’S DEVELOPMENT
Liverpool are riding a wave and they have some of the best coaches producing the top talents in the country.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be a perfect example to Ramsay, is someone who has gone from being this fresh-faced teenager to one of the best fullbacks in the world.
So, from that perspective, and the financial aspect of it as well, it’s understandable why the duo have left the comfort of their home to move down south.
Ramsay is much closer to the first-team than Doak, with the recently-signed fullback hoping to impress in pre-season, as he provides cover for Alexander-Arnold heading into next season.
