Arsenal have made contact to sign a very long-term target of Tottenham Hotspur.
At least, that’s what reports in Italy have indicated this afternoon.
According to Roma Giallorossa, the Gunners have touched base with their Italian counterparts about bringing Nicolo Zaniolo to the Emirates Stadium.
This is a player who has been linked to Arsenal’s North London rivals, Tottenham, on a number of occasions since 2019.
It also comes on the back of speculation about Edu and Mikel Arteta potentially readying a £22 million offer, as covered by HITC Sport earlier today.

This would hurt Spurs and, more specifically, Daniel Levy.
Considering Tottenham’s interest stretches back to 2019 [Alfredo Pedulla], long before Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici ever arrived, it’s safe to say that this is a Levy target.
Even in the Roma Giallorossa report, the Lilywhites are mentioned as potential suitors.
And in 2020, Corriere Dello Sport reported of Tottenham’s interest then, too.
This is someone who Levy has been chasing for quite some time and if he winds up at Arsenal, of all clubs, then suffice to say it would be a majorly bitter pill to swallow.
