According to Bild in Germany, Chelsea have made contact with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
Chelsea make move for Liverpool target
Well, the German news outlet believe Chelsea are in an excellent position to sign the England international.
Bild believe Todd Boehly can afford to meet the €150m (£129m) asking price set by Borussia Dortmund, with that sum described as ‘realistic’ in the report.
It is also said that Boehly has personally made contact with Bellingham’s representatives, as well as the England international’s father, Mark Bellingham, and the youngster is almost certain to leave Germany in the summer.
Bild – who refer to Liverpool being interested – add that Chelsea can afford to offer the 19-year-old an annual salary of €20m (£17m).
At the moment, Bellingham earns €6m-a-year (£5m) at the Signal Iduna Park, which is £115,384-a-week.

Bild add that Manchester City and Real Madrid are also in contention to sign the teenager.
Interest in Bellingham has gone up a gear this season due to his incredible performances, both domestically and also in Europe.
So far this term, the Borussia Dortmund No.22 has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 19 appearances.
Chelsea should worry Liverpool
In our view, this update should concern Liverpool – especially as James Pearce of The Athletic has already raised doubts about the Reds being able to keep up with the financial side of this deal.
An annual salary of £17m, which Chelsea are willing to offer Bellingham, equates to £326,923-a-week, which is a huge wage package across what is expected to be a five-year contract.
Furthermore, Manchester City and Real Madrid are just as wealthy – if not more – than Chelsea, so Liverpool really do look likely to be left behind unless Fenway Sports Group (FSG) break the norm and spend heavily.
Even if FSG do agree to sanction such a massive deal, Jürgen Klopp must first secure Champions League football, or else Liverpool will surely have no chance to luring Bellingham to Anfield.
