According to Calciomercato, Juventus could now replace Massimiliano Allegri with Roberto De Zerbi, despite Brighton holding talks with him about succeeding Graham Potter.
What’s the story?
Well, it was said that Brighton approached the 43-year-old about taking the managerial vacancy at the Amex Stadium, after Potter surprisingly left for Chelsea.
The Seagulls have since been in talks with De Zerbi, who is currently unemployed after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
However, the poor form of Juventus under Allegri could now throw a spanner in the works.
Calciomercato believe De Zerbi is an option for the Italian giants after they embarked on a run of four games without a win in all competitions, including two defeats in their opening two Champions League outings.
Juventus are currently sat eighth in Serie A after a poor start to the domestic campaign as well, meaning the pressure is on Allegri.

Brighton have also shortlisted Kjetil Knutsen and Bo Svensson as they aim to find a swift replacement for Potter.
RC Lens boss Frank Hause is another name on their list of options.
Brighton must hurry as Juventus circle
While Brighton have been given a bit of breathing space to make a decision following fixture postponements, interest from Juventus in De Zerbi is exactly why they shouldn’t take too much time.
As we all know, there is little patience in the world of football. If Allegri is sacked soon, as well as other struggling coaches, it only adds to the competition Brighton have to find a new boss.
As things stand, the Seagulls pretty much have a free run at the best coaches available to them across Europe, although that shouldn’t allow any complacency to creep in.
Hopefully, Brighton can find a replacement for Potter soon, before Juventus and others complicate the process.
