West Ham United want Amadou Onana and Jesse Lingard – and are confident both players will be joining in the near future.
The Hammers have enjoyed a strong window to date having brought in new faces Nayef Aguerd and Flynn Downes.
Loan goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has also signed a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain, bolstering West Ham’s squad.
David Moyes remains in the market for more singings and the chequebook is seemingly coming out.
West Ham United want Amadou Onana and Jesse Lingard
The London Evening Standard report that West Ham are confident of signing both Amadou Onana and Jesse Lingard.
Lille’s 6ft 5in defensive midfielder Onana is allegedly pushing for an exit, giving West Ham hope of a deal.
The Daily Mail reported over the weekend that West Ham had submitted a new £32.5million offer for Onana.
Two bids had already been rejected but West Ham seemingly believe the move is now very much on.
The Athletic claim that Newcastle also want to sign Onana having emerged as a quality holding midfield player last season.

The Belgian international isn’t the only West Ham target Newcastle have targeted, with Lingard also wanted.
Reports from The Northern Echo earlier this month suggested that Newcastle had shown a real interest in free agent Lingard but were backing away over his wage demands.
West Ham are now ready to pounce with The Standard suggesting that West Ham believe Lingard will join this week.
Lingard enjoyed a great loan spell at West Ham in 2021, bagging nine goals and four assists in 16 appearances.
Having left Manchester United this summer, Lingard is a free agent and now seems ready to move back to East London.
West Ham managed to fend off Newcastle for both Areola and Aguerd, but signing Onana and Lingard too – in light of interest from the Magpies – would be a real statement for the Hammers against Newcastle’s PIF riches.
