Everton have been offered the chance to sign Lucas Moura from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.
Tottenham are looking to secure the talents of Richarlison from Everton, but those at Goodison Park value their South American star at £65 million, as reported by the Telegraph.
Given that it’s Daniel Levy sitting in Tottenham’s boardroom, he’s not exactly going to throw that type of money on the table and he will be looking for a few shortcuts.
Well, there are suggestions that he sees midfielder, Harry Winks, and now Moura, as players who could head in the other direction for Richarlison’s talents.
Moura is a popular player at Spurs and a club legend given his famous hat-trick against Ajax in the Champions League semi-final.
Spurs may have gone on to lose the Champions League final, but that night in Amsterdam is one that the fans will remember forever.
Christian Eriksen, who was Moura’s Tottenham teammate at the time, stated that he should probably get a ‘statue in England’, as a result of his memorable hat-trick, which included a stoppage-time winner, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are the two obvious players ahead of Moura at Spurs.

Added with that, Ivan Perisic has also entered the building this summer, so from that perspective, he might not get as much game time as he thinks next season.
Therefore, it’s probably not a surprise Spurs are offering their South American star to Everton, in order to land his fellow countryman in Richarlison.
