Darren Bent has stated on Twitter that Djed Spence will be a ‘good signing’ for Tottenham, after his promotion-winning spell at Nottingham Forest.

Last summer, the 21-year-old was being told by his parent club, Middlesbrough, that he needed to go out on-loan and find his feet, with Forest being his destination.

But, little did he know that it would end in promotion to the Premier League and now the player is on the verge of sealing a £20 million transfer to a Champions League club in Tottenham, as reported by talKSPORT.

That’s some rise for the attack-minded and all-action right-back, with Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, making the Englishman one of his top summer targets.

Nonetheless, this is how former Premier League striker, Bent, reacted to that news on Twitter.

MORE SIGNING ON THEIR WAY AT TOTTENHAM?

If and when Spurs get the Spence deal over the line, then he will join Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic, as the club’s new signings this summer.

Of course, the above duo are on the other side of their careers compared to Spence, but it just goes to show that Daniel Levy is willing to let Conte fish on both ends of the scale.

Securing Champions League football was massive and game-changing for Tottenham because it provides the club with that added advantage in the transfer market.

There’s no doubt that Conte will want to add more elite stars to his name, but could the likes of Pau Torres or Richarlison possibly make that move to north London this summer?
