Some close to Everton believe that Richarlison will join Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and not Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The Athletic have reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Richarlison from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window.

The Toffees are willing to sell, but they are looking for more than £51 million for the Brazil international forward.

The report has added that ‘some close to the club believe the move has a good chance of happening in this window’, although they are unlikely to get more than £51 million from Tottenham for the £110,000-a-week forward (SalarySport).

Goal reported last month that Arsenal are interested in the 25-year-old and have already held preliminary talks over signing him.

Richarlison report boost for Tottenham, blow for Arsenal

In our view, The Athletic’s report about Richarlison is a boost for Tottenham Hotspur in their quest to sign the Brazilian, but a blow to Arsenal’s chances of landing him.

Tottenham will play in the Champions League next season and also have a world-class manager in Antonio Conte.

There is a feeling that Spurs could really kick on next season if Conte is allowed to bring in the players he wants.
