Tottenham and West Ham want Keane Lewis-Potter and Hull City now claim that there are three offers on the table for his signature.

You can understand why both Tottenham and West Ham are interested in adding a new winger to their respective ranks this summer.

Steven Bergwijn looks set to leave Tottenham whilst Andriy Yarmolenko’s deal at West Ham will expire this summer.

Tottenham especially need to add homegrown talent and they appear to be vying with West Ham in the race for Lewis-Potter.

Links to Lewis-Potter have been rife for months now.

Football London’s Alasdair Gold reported in January that Tottenham had spoken to his representatives to try and set up a future deal.

David Pleat went to watch Lewis-Potter with Tottenham’s interest in mind but was joined by David Moyes as West Ham eye their own deal.

Moyes allegedly sees Lewis-Potter as another Jarrod Bowen – who also emerged at Hull – and West Ham were planning to open talks over an £18million deal.

Both London teams seemingly really like Lewis-Potter can who can blame them?

Likened to Eden Hazard by Hull coach Craig Fagan, Lewis-Potter notched 12 goals and three assists in 46 Championship games last season.

The 21-year-old looks to have a big future ahead of him and that future may well lie away from Hull.

Hull vice-chairman Tan Kesler has now told Futbol Arena in Turkey that the Tigers are doing everything to try and keep Lewis-Potter but there are ‘three offers’ on the table from the Premier League.

“We are doing our best right now to keep him. Our President, Acun Ilicali, is particularly interested in this issue,” said Kesler. “I support him as much as I can. We are trying to satisfy Lewis-Potter both financially and trying to build the team around him in terms of the project.”

“We are so young. When we bought a risky team, we believed that we could turn it into an opportunity. We are slowly starting to reap the fruits. For example, Lewis-Potter has three offers from the Premier League,” he added.

A sensible guess would be that Tottenham and West Ham have made those moves, but what about the third club?

Late in May, iNews reported that Everton are joining the race for Lewis-Potter and it may well be the Toffees making their move.

Everton’s budget isn’t quite as big as Tottenham or West Ham’s, so this could be a tough pursuit for Frank Lampard and co.
