According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are now interested in signing Monaco gem Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also wanted by Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, Di Marzio believes Arsenal – as well as Manchester United – are keen to bring the 22-year-old to the Premier League this summer.
The reliable Italian journalist told wettfreunde: “A lot of clubs in the Premier League are following him. Arsenal, Manchester United to name just two. He would like to play in the Premier League. He has stayed at Monaco for another year to await a chance to play in the Premier League. I think this will be the summer when he changes.”
Now, it’s interesting to hear that Tchouameni wants to play in the Premier League, as that should accelerate a move to England’s top-flight.
The France international is one of the brightest prospects in Europe, and has already been likened to Steven Gerrard, which should give you an idea about the type of player he is.
So far this season, Tchouameni has made a whopping 47 appearances in all competitions for Monaco, scoring three goals while also providing two assists.
Clearly, the youngster is already a significant player for Monaco despite his age, which speaks volumes about his maturity levels.
Arsenal must watch out for Liverpool

In our view, if Arsenal are to sign Tchouameni, they will need to do something about Liverpool.
The Reds are already said to be in talks with Monaco over a deal for the Rouen-born playmaker, as Jürgen Klopp looks to improve his midfield options.
Liverpool have been told to pay £52m to sign Tchouameni, which in truth, could actually turn out to be a bargain sum if he fulfils his potential.
The Merseysiders are said to be eyeing long-term replacements for Jordan Henderson and James Milner, and Monaco’s No.8 fits the bill.

You get the feeling that Arsenal simply have to qualify for the Champions League if they want to have any chance of signing Tchouameni.
Real Madrid are also interested, so there’s no chance he’ll ignore the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid to play Europa League football with the Gunners.
Keep an eye on this saga, as anything could happen this summer.
