Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London.

Eddie Howe’s side have suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League this afternoon.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match in the 89th minute.

There were two controversial decisions in the game that affected Newcastle.

Havertz was probably fortunate to stay on the pitch after he caught Dan Burn in the face while jumping.

That incident happened in the first half.

Newcastle fans were also disappointed and frustrated that Trevoh Chalobah was not penalised for a foul on Jacob Murphy in the second half.

Ghodoussi is pleased with the team’s performance, saying that the players were “incredible”.

Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 31 points from 28 matches.

The Magpies are as many as nine points above third-from-bottom Watford, who have played 29 games.

We think that Newcastle will not relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
