While Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Boreham Wood may have left him devastated, Leeds wonderkid Leif Davis has now received some positive news.
What’s the story?
Well, as you can see from the image above, Davis looked quite upset after Bournemouth were knocked out of the FA Cup.
However, it has been a phenomenal month for the 22-year-old Leeds gem from an individual perspective, as he picked up the Player of the Month award.
Davis joined the Cherries on a season-long loan back in July, and has had a tough time on the south coast up until now.
Having been in and out of the squad, the youngster dominated the voting with 60.9% of the votes going his way.
Davis revealed he was “delighted” to receive the award when announcing the news on Twitter.
It has been a tough month for Scott Parker and his side with three losses in five games, but Davis has emerged from January with lots of credit.
Leif Davis can challenge for first-team at Leeds

In our view, there’s no reason why Davis can’t push Junior Firpo all the way for a place in the starting XI under Marcelo Bielsa.
The Leeds Academy graduate – who has even been likened to Arjen Robben – is highly thought of at Elland Road, and we feel he deserves a chance next season if the Cherries decide not to sign him.

Some Leeds fans even felt it was the wrong decision to loan him out to Bournemouth and give them an option to buy at the time of his departure, which speaks volumes.
Keep an eye on Davis, as he continues to go from strength to strength on loan at the Vitality Stadium.
