Some Leeds United fans on social media are far from happy after Leeds United announced Leif Davis has joined Bournemouth on loan.
Now, fans weren’t overly bothered by the fact that Davis had joined the Cherries for the upcoming season, aside from a few complaints about a lack of depth at left-back, but the supporters clearly weren’t happy that this could end up becoming a permanent deal.
Indeed, in Leeds’ announcement they state that if certain clauses are met there is a view for Davies to join the south-coast outfit permanently, and as you can imagine, Leeds fans aren’t too happy about this.
Davis has long been seen as a future first-team star at Leeds, with his blistering pace and considerable strength making him a solid option at left-back, but it looks as though he may have played his final game for the Whites.
Of course, it’s subject to certain clauses being met, but the fact that Leeds have negotiated such an option in this deal does indicate that Davis may not have a long-term future at Elland Road.
Fans aren’t happy, and they were quick to make their voices heard on social media…
