Arsenal assistant manager Miguel Molina has spoken to Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Alvaro Morata, according to AS.
AS have reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte are keen on signing Morata before the January transfer window closes on Monday night.
The 29-year-old striker is on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid at the moment and is scheduled to stay at the Italian giants until the end of the season.
AS have reported that Arsenal assistant Molina has personally spoken to Morata.
Molina has explained to the former Real Madrid striker how he would fit into Arsenal’s plan, and that he is the piece that Arteta is missing.
The report has added that although Morata listened to Molina with interest, he feels that there is no time to properly tackle a move to the Premier League now.

AS have reported that Tottenham head coach Cone wants to bring the striker to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The former Inter Milan boss worked with Morata when he was at Chelsea, and described him as “a fantastic striker”, as quoted in Fotmob in July 2017.
Potential twist in Morata future amid Arsenal and Tottenham interest
In our view, never say never when it comes to deadline-day transfer moves, especially when big Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham are involved.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly on his way to Barcelona, so the Gunners could need a replacement.
And maybe, just maybe, Arsenal could make a late bid for Morata.
You just never know.
