Manchester City have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Dusan Vlahovic, according to Firenze Viola.
What’s the story?
The Florence-based publication claims the Citizens are offering a package worth €80m (£68m). Pep Guardiola’s side sees the 21-year-old as an alternative to Harry Kane.
Tottenham have also been in the race for the 21-goal striker.
The Lilywhites are waiting for an answer regarding a double deal for Vlahovic and his Fiorentina teammate Nikola Milenkovic.
However, there has been encouraging news about City’s chase of the England international.
According to The Sun, the 28-year-old expects a move to go through before the weekend.

Vlahovic would be an astute purchase from Manchester City
It seems the race for the Serbia international will go right down to the wire.
Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and the light blues are all attractive prospects. However, you can’t help but feel as though Manchester City have the edge in the race for Vlahovic.
Their recent record in terms of winning major trophies and reaching finals would entice any player.
And the lack of a number nine coupled with the potential exit of Gabriel Jesus, Vlahovic would be a starter for most games.
The dire need for a centre-forward was on show last Sunday. Pep decided to start without a recognised central striker and it’s a move that backfired as the side failed to take their chances in the loss to Spurs.
With 21 goals in just 34 Serie A games, the youngster looks to be just the man for the job.
And for just £68m, he’s far cheaper than the likes of Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku.
