Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has told The Scottish Sun that he is hoping to get new signings into the club over the next week.
The Bhoys beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday afternoon, with Albian Ajeti, Owen Moffat and Odsonne Edouard all on the scoresheet.
With a Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland coming up in less than two weeks, Celtic are attempting to get up to speed – and they would love to have some new signings in to face Midtjylland.
The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic are now closing in on a deal to sign Rubin Kazan defender Carl Starfelt, whilst Sportske Novosti in Croatia suggest Hajduk Split ace Mario Vuskovic is preparing to join the Bhoys.
Postecoglou will want a number of other additions too, with Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide already on board having both signed from Sheffield Wednesday.
Full backs on both sides will be needed on top of other additions, and Postecoglou has now commented on Celtic’s transfer hopes.

Postecoglou hinted that Celtic may have some signings to a announce over the next week, getting bodies on board ahead of the Midtjylland clash.
The Australian wouldn’t name any names when asked about Starfelt, but admitted that he needs centre backs, wingers and right backs.
“I’m hoping over the next week or so we have some announcements,” said Postecoglou. “We are looking at two or three people at a time. Confirm or deny, I would then be putting myself in a position where people think we have just one target for one position.”
“There’s no doubt this squad needs bolstering. We have a lack of depth in areas. You look at centre back, wingers and at right back,” he added.
